In Zaporizhzhia, Ukrainian military and special services destroyed a Russian train with 40 fuel tanks and damaged a railway line from Crimea.

This was reported by Suspilne, citing sources in the special services.

It is noted that the train was destroyed yesterday, December 14, near the temporarily occupied village of Oleksiivka in Zaporizhzhia by fighters. First, SSU counterintelligence officers blew up the railway tracks, and after the train stopped, the Defense Forces of Ukraine attacked the locomotive and carriages with drones.

«When the train stopped, the fighters of the 14th SBS Regiment began to inflict damage with strike drones, which led to the fire of some of the tanks. After that, HIMARS came into play. Thanks to the aerial reconnaissance of the MDI and in coordination with the Tavria operational-strategic group, the missiles hit the locomotive and the outer cars so that the occupier could not stretch the tanks and save some of the fuel. In the end, the MDI specialists finished off the train with strike drones,» sources in the special services reported.

The publication also indicates that the 40 destroyed fuel tanks are worth four million US dollars.

Recall that on December 13, Ukrainian intelligence conducted an operation on Russian territory, as a result of which a Su-30 fighter jet was destroyed.
