Voznesensk plans to complete the construction of a 50 kW solar power plant by the end of the year. The expected cost of the project is 1 million 36 thousand 303 hryvnias.

This is evidenced by data from the ProZorro public procurement system, according to NikVesti.

In response to an information request from NikVesti, the Voznesensk City Council reported that this will be the first solar station installed in the city this year.

The expected annual electricity generation will be 41,204 kWh.

«The SPP is intended to compensate for the facility's own consumption and provide backup power. The expected annual electricity generation is 41204 kWh», the city council added.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.

NEFCO will give Mykolaiv more than €14 million for heat and solar energy: what is known

In July, the Mykolaiv City Council signed a grant agreement with the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) worth more than €14 million.

This is a grant of more than €14 million for the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in the city.

The funds will be used in two key areas:

  • 7.2 million euros for the installation of individual heating points (IHPs) in residential buildings. This will help regulate the heat supply in each building, reduce energy consumption and improve the comfort of residents.

  • 7.2 million euros for the construction of three solar power plants with a capacity of 9.2 MW each. They will provide the city with clean energy and help reduce dependence on traditional sources.

The financing will be provided without the participation of the city budget or utility companies — the funds will go directly to the contractors.
