US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken assured NATO and the Ukrainian side to fully use the $61 billion funding for Ukraine approved by Congress.

He stated this to journalists after the Alliance's ministerial meeting, reports European Truth.

Anthony Blinken noted that he was satisfied with the distribution of aid costs to Ukraine between the United States and other NATO partners.

«Allies are increasing their support. In total, the United States provided Ukraine with $102 billion in aid, and our partners provided $158 billion. This is the best example of financial burden distribution that I have seen in my 30-year career,» the state secretary said.

The administration of the current US President Biden is going to further increase security support for Ukraine in order to build up Ukrainian air defense, artillery and armored vehicles.

«We intend - this is my desire and the intention of the president — to use every cent of the available funding in the amount of 61 billion dollars,» says Anthony Blinken.

It will be recalled that Ukraine received a grant in the amount of 1.35 billion dollars from the United States, which will be directed to priority humanitarian and social programs.
