Shelling of a shipyard in Mykolaiv caused over ₴1 billion in damage

As a result of Russian shelling on 16 February 2025, production facilities and structures were destroyed and damaged on the territory of the shipyard in Mykolaiv. The damage was estimated at 1 billion hryvnias.

This was reported by the State Ecological Inspectorate of the South-Western District.

The total area of pollution caused by the destruction was 2.4 hectares.

The information was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine to form a unified register of environmental damage caused by armed aggression.

As a reminder, the shelling of the buildings of the state-owned enterprise «Mykolaiv Shipyard» caused environmental damage of over 957 million hryvnias.
