In addition, the court granted the request of the prosecutor's office to extend the removal of the head of the village from his post for a period of 2 months.

The case of Rozsokha and Koshel

Two officials are charged by law enforcement officers with part 2 of article 28 and part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code — treason and committing a crime by a group of persons.

According to the case materials, on February 26, 2022, during a meeting of local residents in the village of Bilozirka, Serhii Rozsokha publicly refused to organize resistance and defense of the village. In addition, he called for cooperation with the aggressor state and its representatives. The next day, he banned the construction of a checkpoint and again publicly called for cooperation with representatives of the aggressor state. According to locals, the officials «publicly took the side of the Russian occupiers.»

When the Russians temporarily occupied Bilozirka on March 9, he allegedly offered the occupiers' leadership help in performing administrative functions on the territory of the Pervomaisk community «on their behalf and in their interests.» He recommended the personnel of the enemy army at school.

According to the prosecutors, during the occupation of Pervomaiske on March 13, deputy Koshel ensured the placement of the Russian army and ammunition on the territory of the Belozirka secondary school, and also brought them water and an electric generator.

Rozsokha and Koshel were detained in May 2022, having reported suspicion.

During the first hearings in June 2022, those involved in the case stated that the evidence was falsified.

According to Rozsokha, the present explanations of the witnesses contain false or inaccurate information about his actions during the war. He explained that when the Russians approached the village, he informed the population about the situation and refused to hand over the weapons to avoid uncontrolled use and vandalism.
