Almost half of Ukrainians (49%) believe that the situation in the country is developing in the wrong direction.

This is according to a survey conducted by the sociological group «Rating» between 20 November and 4 December 2024.

Despite this, more than a third of respondents (35%) still believe that the country is moving in the right direction, and another 16% were not able to give a definite answer.

The survey was conducted by telephone interviews (CATI) and covered 5600 respondents from all regions of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied territories. Sample format: two age categories: younger (25-45 years old) and older (46-65 years old), by gender (50% — women, 50% — men) and type of settlement (40% — regional centre, 30% — small towns, 30% — villages). The margin of error is no more than 2.2% for a sample of 2000 respondents and no more than 4.9% for subsamples of 400 respondents with a confidence level of 0.95.
