More than ₴75 million was deposited for Minister Solskyi

For the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi, who is involved in the case of illegal acquisition of land, a bail of more than 75 million hryvnias was made.

This was reported by the official's lawyer, Nazar Kulchytskyi, in a comment to hromadske.

Mykola Solsky was supposed to be in custody until June 24, with the alternative of posting bail, according to the court's decision, which chose a preventive measure. But now a number of procedural duties will be applied to the minister:

• to appear in court on every summons;
• not to leave Kyiv without the permission of the prosecutor/judge;
• not to communicate with witnesses (in particular, deputy Markiian Dmytrasevich, who is also a suspect in this proceeding);
• submit documents for going abroad.

After being released from custody on bail, Mykola Solskyi continues to perform the duties of the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

In the morning, the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi in the form of arrest with an alternative bail of 75.7 million hryvnias.

As reported, on April 23, NABU announced that the law enforcement officers exposed the current minister for taking over state land worth 291 million hryvnias and attempting to take over land for another 190 million hryvnias.

Mykola Solskyi, commenting on the suspicion handed to him, noted that the events relate to the period of 2017-2018, when he was a lawyer and was neither the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, nor the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.

According to him, the seven-year-old circumstances relate to a dispute between state-owned enterprises and individuals, in particular ATO soldiers, over land that was given to the latter in possession in accordance with the law.

He stated that disputes are resolved by the courts, including the Supreme Court, and that, as far as he knows, a number of decisions currently state that state-owned enterprises do not have the right to land, which is probably what NABU is referring to.
