Kherson is experiencing a staff shortage in almost all sectors. Many businesses have left or relocated from the city.
This was stated by the director of the Kherson Regional Employment Centre, Tetiana Nikolaieva, according to the publication «Vhoru».
«There is a shortage of specialists in almost all sectors — the shortage is particularly acute in the medical field. There is also a shortage of drivers, electricians, social workers, boiler operators and other blue-collar professionals», she said.
At the beginning of 2025, the largest number of vacancies is observed in the fields of education, healthcare, trade and agriculture. According to her, employers are most in need of teachers, doctors, salespeople, drivers and tractor drivers.
As a reminder, Kherson Region plans to pay financial assistance to young professionals who return to work in the de-occupied territory of the region.
