Shelters set up in three schools in Mykolaiv at the expense of the Danish Red Cross

In Mykolaiv, shelters will be set up in three educational institutions with the participation of the Red Cross of Ukraine and the Kingdom of Denmark. The amount of work on these objects alone will exceed 7 million hryvnias.

This was announced by the head of the operational headquarters of the Mykolayiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, Arkadii Dabahian.

This week, a meeting was held with the heads of the education department of the city council and the department of education of the RMA, as well as the directors of three Mykolaiv schools, where shelters will be set up for children and teachers.

It's time to arrange shelters in health care facilities in Mykolaiv.

— The Danish Red Cross allocates funds from the general budget for Mykolaiv, implements this program through our regional Red Cross, and the operational headquarters is already negotiating with the mayor of the city and we are determining important directions for work. We are conducting preliminary work, for example, developing estimates and other documents, — Arkadii Dabahian said in a comment to «NikVesti».

We would like to remind that educational institutions in Mykolaiv continue to set up shelters for schoolchildren for the period of the start of offline education. Journalists were shown the condition and readiness of two such shelters in Mykolaiv Lyceum and Gymnasium.

In addition, they promise to repair 23 shelters in residential buildings in Mykolaiv by the end of the year. Currently, specialists are performing work in two facilities on Tsentralnyy Avenue.
