In the Yuzhnoukrainsk City Council, the door was broken down to allow Kravchenko, who was elected secretary at the «away» session, to enter the workplace

On Monday, November 20, Denys Kravchenko, who was elected by the deputies as the secretary of the South Ukrainian City Council at an external meeting, came to work but could not get to the office. A locksmith was called to the scene and the lock was broken.

The video from the scene of the event was broadcast on Facebook by the local publication YuzhBud.News.

In the city council, Denys Kravchenko first applied to the personnel department of the South Ukrainian City Council and submitted documents for official registration in the position. However, the head of the personnel department, Tetiana Bosova, noted that she had not received the decision of the September 5 session on the election of a new secretary. She was instructed to prepare relevant explanatory letters and documents.

After that, Denys Kravchenko tried to find out where the keys to Oleksandr Akulenko's office are, who was dismissed by the decision of the same visiting session. However, none of the employees of the city council could explain this. Also could not find the seal.

At the same time, it is reported that there is no contact with Oleksandr Akulenko and his whereabouts are unknown. He is officially on sick leave.

To clarify the situation, the police were called to the city council, who documented that the office door was locked. The law enforcement officers were also warned that the door would be broken down.

After that, Denys Kravchenko and some deputies called a locksmith, who used tools to drill out the lock and open the door.

The deputy mayor Serhii Hornostai tried to prevent the door from opening, but after a short push he retreated.

A specially created commission was invited to the office, which conducted a description of the property. After that, Denys Kravchenko entered the office.

It will be recalled that on September 5, deputies of the Southern Ukrainian City Council at an independently convened meeting voted for the dismissal of the secretary of the city council Oleksandr Akulenko («Servant of the People»).

To replace the «servant of the people» in Yuzhno-Ukraine, the deputies elected a new secretary from the «Proposal» Denys Kravchenko.

The session was attended by 21 deputies («PPFL», «EU», «People's Power», «Proposal»). According to NikVesti information, most of them are related to or directly work at the South Ukrainian NPP.

Before the meeting, the deputies tried to expel the NikVesti correspondent and operator. In particular, Anzhela Savastru, elected from PPFL, stated that she rented premises in the «Enerhetyk» cultural center with her own money, and allegedly that is why journalists do not have the right to be there. And then she asked them to pay her rent.

People's deputy Artem Chornomorov, elected to the Council for the district, which includes Yuzhnoukrainsk, considers the decision to terminate the powers of acting mayor Oleksandr Akulenko invalid. According to him, «this is a seizure of power."

At first, Denys Kravchenko failed to register for the position. In a decision dated September 14, 2023, the state registrar refused to register him as the secretary of the South Ukrainian City Council. The document states that Denys Kravchenko did not submit the documents in full, and also did not leave the original documents and his own application for registration with the registrar. It is also indicated that technical errors were made when filling out the application.

The third attempt to register Denys Kravchenko took place in the evening of November 8 in the Kobleve village council. Representatives of the South Ukrainian City Council, who oppose the appointment of Denys Kravchenko, said that the registrar had been given «fake documents» and called the police. Also, the deputy mayor of Yuzhnoukrainsk, Serhii Hornostai, indicated that the documents had «a fake stamp».

However, the attempt was successful for Denys Kravchenko and he was registered for the post.

After that, the secretary of the South Ukrainian City Council Oleksandr Akulenko, who was dismissed by the decision of the session of September 5, said that the registration of the «new» city council secretary Denys Kravchenko is a criminal offense. He is already preparing an appeal to law enforcement agencies.

Denys Kravchenko also explained why he could not be registered in the position the previous times. According to him, previously the work of the city council was paralyzed, and important issues for the community were not approved.
