In Mykolaiv, a temporary carrier of route No. 79 was identified

The Executive Committee of the Mykolaiv City Council once again appointed Mykolaivpastrans as a temporary carrier for bus route No. 79.

The corresponding decision was made in order to ensure uninterrupted passenger transportation to the district far from the city center, on Wednesday, December 13, during the meeting of the city executive committee, NikVesti writes.

From December 24, Mykolaivpastrans will carry out passenger transportation on city public bus route No. 79 «Str. Velyka Morska — VTF «Velam» every day from 06:00 to 22:00 according to a certain traffic scheme:

  • St. Halyna Petrova,
  • St. Buznyka,
  • ave. Tsentralnuy,
  • ave. Bohoiavlenskyi,
  • ave. Myru,
  • St. Kosmonavtiv,

But in the opposite direction:

  • St. Troitska, 67,
  • St. Kosmonavtiv,
  • ave. Myru,
  • ave. Bohoiavlenskyi,
  • ave. Tsentralnyi,
  • St. Shoseina,
  • St. Nikolska,
  • St. Velyka Morska, 11/1.

We remind that in December 2022 in Mykolaiv, KP Mykolaivpastrans was appointed as a temporary carrier on public transport route No. 79. In June 2023, the executive committee again appointed Mykolaivpastrans as a temporary carrier for bus route No. 79. Temporary changes at the enterprise were explained by the lack of a sufficient number of drivers.

In March 2023, we reported that residents of Korabelnyi district have to wait over an hour for public transport, and then ride an overcrowded bus to get home after work. After the majority of residents returned to Mykolaiv, the number of public transport is often insufficient. Remote areas suffer the most, especially during peak hours.

The management of the transport complex «solved the problem» with public transport in the Korabelnyi district: instead of increasing the number of vehicles, a more capacious bus was installed during work transportation.
