Over the course of a year, 140 billboards and advertising structures were dismantled in Mykolaiv — half of them were removed after citizens appealed to the contact center

During 2024, about 140 advertising structures were dismantled in Mykolaiv, half of which were removed after appeals in the Facebook group «Contact Center at the Mykolaiv City Council».

Vitalii Yaroshenko, deputy director of the department of internal financial control, supervision and anti-corruption of the Mykolaiv City Council, announced this on the MART TV channel.

«Half of the dismantled advertising structures were dismantled at the request of citizens who came to the contact center at the Mykolaiv City Council, because they had an untidy appearance, which is not indifferent to the city's residents. This year, 15 temporary structures, about 35 large billboards, as well as more than 90 other elements of outdoor advertising were dismantled. We plan to continue this work next year as well, but let's hope that we will be allocated funds for this — funding for 2024,» he said.

Earlier it was reported that four advertising structures were dismantled in Mykolaiv — the townspeople complained about their neglected condition. At the same time, several large advertising structures that hung over the roadway on Velyka Morska Street were removed.
