36 traffic lights in Mykolaiv will be equipped with uninterruptible power supply units for ₴4.9 million

The Mykolaiv communal installation and operation company has announced a tender for the purchase of 36 uninterruptible power supply units, which will be installed for the operation of traffic lights during power outages.
The corresponding tender was published in the ProZorro public procurement system, NikVesti reports.
The expected cost of the equipment is 4 million 976 thousand 640 hryvnias. Such power units will be installed at the busiest intersections in Mykolaiv.
We will remind that today such traffic lights work in three sections of the city: Pushkinska — Velyka Morska, Pushkinska — Nikolska and at the intersection of Sadova Street and Tsentralnyi Avenue.
According to the tender, the power supply units must meet the following criteria:
- work at air temperatures in the range from -20 to + 40
- have remote control using a mobile application
- battery life — at least 8 hours
- the time of full charge of the battery is no more than 2.5 hours
- the possibility of charging both from the mains and from the solar panel
- availability of alarm in case of unauthorized intervention
In addition, the block must be no more than 50 kilograms, have protection against current overloads and short circuits, a heating and ventilation system.
The winner of the tender must supply the power supply units to the customer by November 1 of this year. The product must be manufactured no earlier than 12 months from the date of delivery and have a warranty of at least 2 years.
It was previously reported that new traffic lights will be installed at two intersections in Mykolaiv. One is in the city center, the other is in the Lisky neighborhood. And for 2023, a total of 64 new traffic lights were installed in the city. New sound warning devices were installed at 8 traffic lights.
