Damage to the environment of Shyroke community amounted to more than ₴100 million due to the war

As a result of the shelling of the Shyroke community in the Mykolaiv region in 2022, when communal and administrative buildings, cultural centers and a hospital were damaged, damages in the amount of 102 million hryvnias were caused to the environment.

This was reported in the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District.

Environmentalists noted that they continue to calculate the damage caused to the environment as a result of armed aggression. Thus, state inspectors have established environmental pollution with construction waste. The total amount of damages is more than 102 million hryvnias.

The department reported that the information was transferred to the Operational Headquarters of the State Environmental Inspection of Ukraine for the formation of a single register of losses.

Previously, NikVesti reported that the Inhulets River Canal Management paid 1.2 million hryvnias in damages for the emission of pollutants into the air.
