One thousand hryvnias each, which were promised to Ukrainians, will be financed from unspent funds of the General State Social Insurance Fund in case of unemployment.

This was stated by the head of the Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, People's Deputy from «Servant of the People» Roksolana Pidlasa in an interview with «Forbes Ukraine».

According to her, at the beginning of 2024, the fund transferred 10 billion hryvnias to the programs of the Ministry of Economy, but 9.3 billion hryvnias of them remained unused. In the draft budget for 2025 (draft law No. 12000), it was proposed to direct these funds to compensation for losses to agriculture, creation of industrial parks, and stimulation of demand for domestic goods and services.

The budget committee of the Verkhovna Rada believes that these funds can be spent by the end of this year to pay «a thousand from the state».

«The government's proposal is to rely on money from the Unemployment Fund for the time being,» she said.

We would like to remind you that from December 1, a new program — E-support, according to which every Ukrainian will receive one thousand hryvnias, should start working in Ukraine. These funds can be used to pay for goods and services.
