In 2025, 92 million hryvnias were allocated from the Odesa budget for the restoration of residential buildings damaged by Russian shelling.

The deputies made the relevant decision during the session of the city council on December 4, NikVesti writes.

At the same time, the deputies appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request to resolve the issue of receiving compensation for damaged property under the «eVidnovlennia» program by residents of residential buildings that have the status of monuments of cultural heritage.

The fact is that the current resolution approving the procedure for work on cultural heritage sites does not provide for compensation, but only simplifies the procedure for obtaining permits for work on monuments during the war. Currently, 1,200 monuments of cultural heritage, including residential buildings, have been damaged in Odesa due to Russian aggression.

It will be recalled that the deputies of the city council also allocated funds for the dismantling of monuments with Russian imperial and Soviet symbols in Odesa.
