It is planned to spend 193 million on the construction of shelters in three Mykolaiv regional hospitals — money will be partially received from the state budget

Almost 193 million hryvnias will be allocated for the construction of three protective structures in three medical institutions of the Mykolaiv region.

Acting Head of the Department of Health Protection of the Mykolaiv RMA, Iryna Tkachenko, told about this during a briefing on Wednesday, July 3, NikVesti reports.

The funds will be partially allocated from the state budget, the official said.

«This year, we submitted proposals of three medical institutions for World Bank co-financing and construction projects, and all three medical institutions received a positive result. And we expect subventions from the state budget,» said Iryna Tkachenko.

Shelters will be financed in the following medical institutions:

  • Mykolaiv Regional Children's Clinical Hospital — 73 million 903 thousand hryvnias, subvention from the state budget 51 million, another 30% from the local budget;

  • Mykolaiv Regional Clinical Hospital — 98 million hryvnias;

  • Hospital for war veterans — 21 million hryvnias.

We will remind that during the session of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, the deputies made changes to the program of economic and social development of the Mykolaiv Region for 2024, adding the repair of shelters in the above-mentioned hospitals.

Prior to this, deputies of the Mykolaiv Regional Council expressed their desire to check the condition of protective structures in medical institutions. At the same time , the construction of new civil defense protective structures is planned on the territory of the regional clinical hospital and the regional children's clinical hospital.
