Mykolaiv Oblast exported goods worth $182 million in two months

In January-February 2024, the volume of exports of goods from the Mykolaiv region amounted to 182 million dollars.
This is 39.8% more than in January–February 2023, reported the Main Department of Statistics in the Mykolaiv region.
The volume of imports amounted to 67.4 million dollars (7.5% less). The 2.7-fold preponderance of goods exports over imports ensured a positive balance of foreign trade in the amount of 114.6 million.
Goods were exported to 54 countries, among which the largest volumes went to Spain, Egypt, Turkey, the Republic of Korea, China, Portugal and Belgium. The basis of the commodity structure of export was products of plant origin, in particular, grain crops — 54.1%, seeds and fruits of oil plants — 15.5%. The share of fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin was 15.9%, prepared food products — 11.1%.
Goods were imported from 72 countries, mainly from China, Egypt, Poland, Turkey, Ireland, the USA and Italy. A noticeable specific weight in the import of goods was: machines, equipment and mechanisms, electrical equipment (21.4%), products of the chemical and related industries (15.5%), means of land transport, aircraft, floating vehicles ( 13.3%), ready-made food products (11.7%), polymer materials, plastics and their products (10%).
As a reminder, in Mykolayiv region in January 2024, the level of exports increased by 76.5% compared to the same period last year.
