Three girls aged 19 to 23 were detained in Odesa on suspicion of coordinating Russian strikes.

This was reported by the SSU and the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the organizer of the agent network was a 23-year-old local woman. At the behest of the curator from the FSS, she involved two of her friends, who also supported the actions of the Russian Federation. All three worked in a local coffee shop. The investigators established that they had personally written and sent to the curator an application to join the ranks of the FSS of Russia.

For several months, the trio collected and sent via Telegram text messages, photo and video files, screenshots of Google Maps about the locations of the units of the Armed Forces, supply and social support centers, hospitals and air defense.

To establish the coordinates of potential targets, the figures went around the city under the guise of walks. If the «necessary» object was detected, a photo was taken against its background, in particular, a selfie was taken with reference to the area. Russians were most interested in the locations of military commissariats and medical institutions where Ukrainian defenders are treated, the SSU notes.

The participants also tried to identify the combat positions of air defense and coast guard units that defend the city from the air and the sea. In total, they managed to inform the occupiers about at least 7 objects.

For the conspiracy during correspondence, they hid behind fictitious nicknames, and also used an anonymous chat. For each completed task, the participants received a monetary «reward» from the Russian Federation. Although, according to the investigation, the women managed to get only $500.

In addition, they asked the occupiers for «timely evacuation» and managerial «positions» in the administration of trade in the event of the occupation of Odesa.

Law enforcement officers detained all three suspects while they were preparing a «report» to the FSB. They were informed of the suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — treason committed by a group of persons under martial law. The detainees are in custody, they face life imprisonment.

In addition, the SSU assures that it has taken additional measures to secure the locations of Ukrainian troops.
