President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the leader of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, can help in the export of agricultural products through the ports of Mykolaiv.
He said this at a press conference on February 25, NikVesti reports.
«We are in favor of expanding the corridors, but we are not looking for an alternative to what is currently working. Erdogan can help with Nikolaev, we talked to open the sea. Turkey discussed the possibilities of free navigation in the Black Sea with the UN Secretary General. We are ready for such a conversation,» Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
We will remind that Volodymyr Putin was supposed to come to Turkey. They said that Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan will discuss a new mechanism for allowing the export of Ukrainian grain through the Black Sea with Vladimir Putin during his upcoming visit to Turkey.
In turn, the EU reminded Ankara about the Rome Statute and the obligation of the country that ratified this document to execute the arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin.
Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey was later postponed.
