Ministry of Culture: More than 2,000 cultural objects were damaged due to the war

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine continues to record damage to cultural infrastructure in Ukraine as a result of full-scale Russian aggression.

2,093 cultural institutions were damaged, of which 361 were destroyed. The largest number of destructions among communally owned institutions. Clubs, libraries, art institutions were especially affected.

Cultural institutions on the territory of 296 territorial communities were destroyed. Cultural institutions in the Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Sumy regions were the most affected. As for our region, in the Mykolaiv region this indicator is more than 44%, in the Kherson region — 43%, in the Odesa region — almost 10%.

Previously, NikVesti reported that the Mykolaiv region was on the list of regions where the largest number of cultural infrastructure objects were damaged due to Russia's war against Ukraine.
