In Mykolaiv, six new cultural heritage sites have been prepared for inclusion in the register. These consist of three monuments and three mosaic panels.

This was announced by Yurii Liubarov, head of the Mykolaiv Department of Culture, during a live broadcast on Facebook, according to NikVesti.

The list includes three monuments: to Viacheslav Chornovil, to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, and the «Mourning Angel of Chernobyl». Three mosaic panels have also been registered: on the building of the Regional Palace of Culture, on Zakhysnykiv Mykolaieva Street (the «Sunny» panel) and on the building of the Institute of Pulse Technologies on Bohoyavlenskyi Avenue (the «Ukraine» panel).

According to Yurii Liubarov, the sites have now been handed over and are under consideration by the Culture Department of the regional military administration.

«Our department has processed six newly discovered cultural heritage sites in Mykolaiv; registration forms have already been drawn up to record them. They have been transferred and are currently under review by the Culture Department of the Regional Military Administration. These are three monuments. And for the first time, on the initiative of local residents and our department, we have submitted three mosaic panels for registration. They are in fairly good condition, have been preserved almost entirely, and it makes sense to register them as cultural heritage sites so that in future both the city council and the state can protect them from destruction and take measures for restoration if, God forbid, such destruction were to occur,» said Yurii Liubarov.

As a reminder, Tavria painting, which is being actively revived in Mykolaiv, has been officially included in the National List of Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine. Tavriya painting was officially entered under No. 116 in the National List of Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine on 12 November.
