An exhibition of female portraits by the photographer Pavlo Demenskyi opened in Mykolaiv. The artist's works can be seen in the city library named after Mark Kropyvnytskyi.
The exhibition consists of 25 portraits. Each of them is a separate, extraordinary story, the city council informed.
One of the heroines of the series, Olesia Zhereha, said that participating in the photo shoot helped her find herself in a new profession.
«It was a difficult photo shoot. Pasha as a friend wanted to help me work on my self-esteem. And yes, it helped. After this photo session, the decision was made to become a psychologist. And it was after this photo shoot that I immediately went to enter this university. Passed the external examination for the master's degree. Now I am the best student at the institution,» she said.
The works of the photographer can be purchased. Part of the collected funds from the sale of portraits or donations, the photographer plans to give to volunteers who help residents of de-occupied settlements of Mykolaiv Oblast and Kherson Oblast, as well as to the development of children's art.
The exhibition will last until March 29.
