Shmyhal: Ukraine will receive €4.2 billion from the EU in the near future

Ukraine expects a new tranche of 4.2 billion euros from the European Union within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
«Ukraine has assurances from partner states and international financial institutions that all external financing needs for this year will be met,» he said.
The Prime Minister reminded that yesterday, August 5, the state budget received $3.9 billion in non-refundable aid from the United States. In general, Ukraine expects to receive $7.8 billion in budget support from American allies this year.
Denys Shmyhal also said that in the near future Ukraine expects the next tranche of 4.2 billion euros within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program from the European Union. In total, for 2024, Ukraine will attract 16 billion euros from the EU under this program.
«We are clearly following the implementation schedule of all indicators. We carry out all reforms. We approve all the necessary changes,» he emphasized.
We will remind you that the European Commission will transfer to Ukraine 1.5 billion euros received from the frozen assets of Russia. The money will be used for defense and reconstruction. The money will be transferred through the European Peace Fund and to the Ukraine Facility program to support the military potential of Ukraine, as well as to support the recovery of the country.
