A court in Mykolaiv sentenced a man who tried to molest a minor girl to probation

In Mykolaiv, a man who tried to touch the breasts of a minor girl and showed her his genitals received three years of probation.

Such a sentence was passed by the Leninskyi District Court of Mykolaiv on November 16, NikVesti writes.

It is noted that in August of this year, the girl and her mother lived in the house where the convict also sometimes lived with his roommate. During the week, the man clung to the girl several times. The episodes are described in the court decision.

In particular, late in the evening on August 12 in the supermarket, he pressed the girl to him, trying to touch her breasts.

Five days later, he showed her his genitals and made «various requests».

The next day, he again tried to touch the girl's breasts and made «various of requests».

It is noted that for the minor victim, the specified actions were indecent and unacceptable, but since at the time of the criminal act «the victim did not understand the nature and meaning of sexual actions due to her young age, little life and sexual experience, she could not offer conscious resistance to the actions of the convicted person».

During the trial, the man entered into a plea agreement with the prosecutor. He «admitted his guilt in committing the criminal offense provided for in part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and sincerely repented».

The victim and her legal representative gave their consent to the conclusion of the agreement.

The court sentenced him to five years of imprisonment. But released from serving the sentence with probation for 3 years.

The man was also included in the Unified register of persons convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual integrity of minors.
