In Mykolaiv, a bus driver refused to give a child preferential transportation — he explained it by the fact that a lyceum is not a school

In Mykolaiv, the driver of communal bus No. 1 refused free transportation to a child who had a student card.

The situation happened on Friday, December 22, according to the users of the «Contact center at the Mykolaiv City Council».

As the people of Mykolaiv explained, the lyceum student showed the driver a valid student card. However, the driver refused the child, motivating his position by the fact that a lyceum is not a school.

«Please explain to the driver that students are currently studying in gymnasiums (grades 1-9) and lyceums (grades 10-11). And you can't be rude to the children!» wrote Olha Bondar, a resident of Mykolaiv.

We remind you that in Mykolaiv, the driver of public transport spoke obscenely to a female passenger who asked to stop in Ukrainian.

Later, the police started criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the equality of citizens.
