On the morning of February 7, Russian troops attacked Mykolaiv with Shaheds and rockets. One person died as a result of the shelling.

The mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Sienkevych, said that the roofs of about 20 residential buildings were blown off due to the explosions. City construction crews have gone to the site, and residents are being assisted.

Gas and water supply networks were also damaged, there was a fire in the section of the underground gas pipeline — emergency workers and utility workers are already eliminating the consequences.

There are casualties as a result of the attack. They were given medical assistance on the spot. One man was hospitalized and later died in the hospital due to severe mine and craniocerebral injuries.

The Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration also reported that a technical structure was damaged in the infrastructure facility as a result of shelling. A fire broke out there, which the rescuers have already contained.

It is also reported that at night the anti-aircraft defense destroyed three Shaheds in the Mykolaiv region.

The State Emergency Service reported that more than 40 rescuers and 6 units of equipment are working to eliminate the consequences.

The 10th platoon branch of the State Mining and Rescue Squad was also involved.

A tent was set up to help the victims. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service, the rapid response unit of the Mykolaiv regional organization of the Red Cross Society in Ukraine, and the emergency services of the city are working.
