The Central District Court of Mykolaiv gave a suspended sentence to a local resident who was sentenced to 5 years, who on social networks called for joining Russia and denied the fact of armed aggression.
The verdict of September 4 is placed in the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, written NikVesti.
According to the case file, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the woman published her opinions on military operations and condemned the actions of the state leadership in her own Telegram channel, calling Ukraine a «weapons training ground.»
Original language:
«Europe does not need Ukraine, just like America. From such fertile land, they made a training ground for testing their weapons. Only Mother Russia will take us and revive us as after the Great Patriotic War. We cannot do without her help. Some of those who want to continue the war, let them make their regions (Western) a training ground. And we need to reconcile and return to our native home to Russia. This is a great country and its entire history confirms this. Nikolaev suffered and wants recovery! While we still have someone left to work at the factories and not all the men of the town have been slaughtered, we need to protect them and the town! Nikolaev needs to be a part of a peaceful and developed Russia!», said the appeals cited by the court.
In August 2023, she published a message calling for the annexation of Mykolaiv to Russia, which, according to the court, is a call to change the state borders of Ukraine.
In November 2023, the woman wrote a post in which she noted that after the protests on the Maidan, Russophobes came to power, and they were replaced by Nazi nationalists, whose actions stopped Mykolayiv from developing:
«For some time, while Russia supported our city, we could observe positive dynamics. After the ill-fated Maidan, paid for by the United States, we got Russophobic power. Just imagine what Russophobic power means to a city that lived only at the expense of Russia! Our Mykolaiv is dying with this «power»! We will perish together with him, we will not have a future.»
In addition, she denied the annexation of Crimea, claiming that the peninsula is part of Russia.
At the end of April 2024, the woman admitted her guilt and made a deal with the investigation. The court's verdict states that the woman sincerely repented and actively contributed to the disclosure of the criminal offense.
The court passed a decision on the punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term of 5 years without confiscation of property. However, in the presence of mitigating circumstances and an agreement between the parties, the court released the woman with a three-year probationary period.
We will remind you that the Central District Court of Mykolaiv extended the term of detention for a 49-year-old man accused of treason.
