On the night of October 11, the Russian army carried out an attack with ballistic missiles in the Odesa region, as a result of which four people, including a teenager, died.
Another ten people were injured, Oleh Kiper, the head of Odesa RMA, said.
As a result of the rocket attack, a two-story building where civilians lived and worked was destroyed. The tragedy ended the lives of four people, including a 16-year-old girl, a 22-year-old boy and a 43-year-old woman. Another woman, despite the efforts of doctors, died of her injuries in the hospital.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene of the tragedy and began search and rescue operations. They managed to pull out four people alive from under the rubble.
Another 10 people were injured in varying degrees of severity. Nine of them were urgently hospitalized, and the condition of four victims is assessed as serious. Doctors are fighting for their lives, providing all the necessary assistance.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine noted that the search for people under the rubble was complicated by the repeated declaration of an air alert in the region. To increase the efficiency of the search operations, specially trained rescue dogs and canine handlers were involved.
We will remind that October 11 was declared a day of mourning for the dead in the Odesa region.
Also on Thursday, October 10, the Russian army twice struck the critical infrastructure of Mykolaiv, causing fire and damage to buildings. Three people were injured.
