The head of the Kutsurub community, Kopiika, was arrested with the possibility of a bail of more than ₴240,000.

In Mykolaiv, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail for the detained head of the Kutsurub community Inna Kopiika.

This was reported by the press service of the National Police of the Mykolaiv region and the Mykolaiv regional prosecutor's office.

According to the investigation, the 54-year-old head of the village council, in communication with colleagues and subordinates, justified the crimes of the Russian army and called the war against Ukraine an «internal civil conflict.»

In a fragment of the audio recording published by the prosecutor's office, the head of the community during a conversation with colleagues says that in 2014 Ukraine itself shelled the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk.

«We will still be glad that Russia came here. Wherever Russia goes, remember, they will leave with their houses, land, and everything. Everything else will be destroyed. Just demolished. There will be no Ukraine, only a handful of land will remain. Everything is destroyed, a lot of people die, genocide. We are really under occupation now. Why did you kill in 2014 — Donbas, Luhansk. People made a protest. Leave them alone, leave them alone,» says Inna Kopiika in the video.

In addition, the woman claimed that it was the Ukrainian army that fired on civilians in Kherson.

«Our Ukrainians fought in Kherson. 24 people died, not a single soldier, all people died,» she assures.

During searches of Inna Kopiika's apartment and workplace, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones and a tablet.

The official was detained under Part 3 of Article 436-2 — «Justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants.» At the request of the prosecution, the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail in the amount of 242,240 hryvnias. The woman faces up to 8 years in prison.

Currently, the issue of removing her from the position is being resolved.

It became known about the detention of Inna Kopiika on October 15. It is worth reminding that the Kutsurub community is under attack by the Russian army almost every day. Most often, villages are shelled from FPV drones, artillery and UAVs of the Shahed 131/136 type from the occupied Kinburn Peninsula.

Inna Kopiika was elected head of the community during the 2016 elections after the decentralization reform. Before that, the woman headed the Kutsurub village council twice.

It should also be noted that Inna Kopiika is the ex-wife of Ihor Kopiika, a former «anti-blockade» MP from Mykolaiv. In 2018, Nikcenter journalists wrote in an investigation that budget money in Kutsurub is directed to the development of money by «necessary» contractors.
