In the first reading, the Verkhovna Rada supported the draft law introducing automatic registration of Ukrainians from the age of 17 on military registration.

This was announced by the Minister of Defense Rustam Umyerov.

According to him, young men no longer need to contact the Territorial Recruitment Centers (TRC) or undergo a medical examination.

«It will be enough to go through identification in Reserve+, after which the application itself will generate a military registration document. This is another step in the transfer of military records into a convenient digital format. We make public services as accessible and transparent as possible for Ukrainians,» he added.

It was previously reported that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is developing a digital model of military medical commissions that will allow obtaining medical reports in any hospital.

Ukraine is also planning to introduce measures based on the «fight or work» principle, in particular to bring out of the shadows people who receive salaries «in envelopes» and do not pay taxes.
