A 64-year-old resident of the village of Pavlivka, Bashtansky district, who headed an illegal government body during the occupation, was sentenced in absentia to 6 years in prison.

This is stated in the verdict of the Snihurivka District Court of Mykolaiv Oblast dated December 12, writes NikVesti.

According to the investigation, in August 2022, the woman voluntarily headed the Pavlivka Village Council, which operated within the illegally created «military-civil administration of the Snihurivka district of the Kherson region».

The woman performed administrative and economic functions. In particular, she organized the work of the illegal apparatus, collected data on vulnerable segments of the population and transmitted it to the occupation administration. In addition, she conducted propaganda among the population in support of the occupation authorities.

The court found her guilty of collaboration and sentenced her to six years in prison with confiscation of all her property. She was also barred from holding public office for 15 years.

Due to the fact that the woman is hiding in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, the sentence will come into effect after her detention or voluntary reporting to law enforcement agencies.

Let us remind you that Iryna Podvoiska, a resident of Snihurivka, who during the occupation headed the so-called municipal unitary enterprise, was sentenced in absentia to 6 years in prison.
