In Kherson, a nurse who passed information about the Ukrainian military to Russian special services was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property. The woman was found guilty of high treason.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, after the liberation of Kherson, she continued to cooperate with the aggressor state. Working as a nurse at a local hospital, she used a messenger to pass on information about Ukrainian soldiers undergoing treatment to her friend, a representative of the Russian Federal Security Service. In addition, she passed on information about the deployment, armament and movement of equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other defence forces.

Russian troops used the data to launch missile and artillery strikes and to adjust their shelling.

The convict will remain in custody until the sentence enters into force.
