Air defense forces destroyed 17 drones and an X-59 missile overnight

On the night of April 8, the air defense forces shot down one missile, as well as 17 of the 24 attack UAVs that the Russians were using to attack Ukraine.

This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleschuk.

It is noted that the Russian troops attacked with a Kh-59 guided air missile from the airspace of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region and 24 «shaheds» from Cape Chauda (Crimea), Kursk, Yeysk regions (RF).

As a result of an anti-aircraft battle, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Kh-59 guided air missile in the Dnipropetrovsk region and 17 attack drones in the Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Khmelnytskyi and Zhytomyr regions.

Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups and means of radio-electronic warfare were involved in repelling the air attack.

We will remind that on the night of April 8, the forces and means of air defense eliminated two UAVs of the Shahed 131/136 type over the territory of the Mykolaiv region.
