A gas explosion destroyed two floors, people are being searched under the rubble in Kryvyi Rih

At night, on April 11, an explosion occurred in one of the high-rise buildings in Kryvyi Rih due to a gas leak. Seven people were injured.

This was reported by Yevhen Sytnychenko, the head of the Kryvyi Rih district military administration.

It is noted that as a result of the gas explosion, the structures from the 3rd to the 5th floor of one of the entrances were partially destroyed. A fire broke out in the house, which was quickly extinguished by rescuers. All relevant services are working at the scene of the emergency.

According to the RMA, 7 people were injured: three of them were hospitalized, and the others received medical assistance on the spot.

According to local politician Oleksandr Vilkul, the demolition of the debris is currently ongoing: there may still be victims under the debris.

«A headquarters for the provision of psychological assistance was deployed near the house. More than 20 people have already applied there. The «Point of Invincibility» also operates in a nearby school, the report says.
