In Kharkiv, an operation to rescue a 77-year-old man, who found himself under the rubble of his own house as a result of a Russian strike, lasted for about an hour. However, the man died in the hospital.
This was reported by the State Service for Emergency Situations and the Mayor of Kharkiv Ihor Terekhov.
On June 10, Russian troops struck the Kyivskyi and Saltivskyi districts of Kharkiv. Houses were damaged, eight people were injured.
At least two private houses were badly damaged at the site of one of the landings in the Kyiv district of the city. The rescuers tried to get the victim under the rubble of one of them. The operation to save the man lasted about an hour.
«A man born in 1947 was found under the rubble of one of the residential buildings. The rescuers reached the man with the help of special tools and freed him. He was later admitted to the hospital by the emergency medical team,» the rescuers said.
However, on June 11, it became known that the man died in the hospital.
«The victim of yesterday's shelling died this morning, the same one that our rescuers spent two hours pulling out from under the rubble. Condolences to relatives. Russia is a terrorist state,» added Ihor Terekhov.
We will remind that the Russian occupying forces launched a rocket attack on a community in the Mykolaiv region on the evening of June 10. The blast wave damaged the houses and cars of civilians.
