A man with a knife attacked TCM employees in Kyiv

In Kyiv on Saturday, April 6, a man with a knife attacked employees of the Desnianskyi Territorial Center for Mobilization and Social Support.

Desnianskyi District TCM and SS reported this.

«During the work of the mobile notification group, patrol number 6 was talking to a conscript on Sholom-Aleykhem Street. At this moment, Moldorf Timofiy Arkadiiovych, born in 1972, approached from behind and struck Senior Soldier Siryi on the head. Then he took out a knife from the bag and tried to hit Senior Soldier Chornenko with it. The attacker threatened and attacked,» the statement said.

It is mentioned that while holding the attacker at a safe distance, the military personnel called the police. The investigative-operational group documented the crime and seized material evidence.

The man was arrested under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The Investigation Department of the Desnianskyi Police Administration of the Main Directorate of the Police in Kyiv has launched a criminal investigation under part 2 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — carrying, manufacturing, repairing or selling daggers, Finnish knives, knuckles or other cold weapons without the required permission. The punishment under this article can be up to three years of imprisonment.

In addition, the issue of entering information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Article 129 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - threat of murder, is being resolved. The punishment under this article includes arrest for up to six months or restriction of liberty for up to two years.
