The prosecutor's office sent an indictment to the court against the ex-head and current head of the agricultural production plant in the Mykolaiv region.
The Mykolaiv district prosecutor's office also reported this.
Former and current officials will be tried for misappropriation of someone else's property by abuse of their official position, committed on a large scale by a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy (Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, they conspired with each other and entered into an exchange contract for the supply of barley for the total amount of over 300,000 hryvnias with the company.
Subsequently, the plant received an advance payment of over 200,000 hryvnias.
After that, the persons involved reassigned the head of the plant and, knowing reliably about the plant's obligations to supply grain, the new director of the plant did not fulfill the terms of the contract, while continuing to carry out economic activities and embezzling 200 thousand hryvnias, the prosecutor's office said.
According to the results of the pre-trial investigation, the indictment was sent to the court.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions and engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
Note: in accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
We will remind, the chief accountant of one of the schools of Voznesensk in the Mykolaiv region was informed about the suspicion of misappropriation of budget funds by abusing her official position. As is known, the woman overestimated the salaries of school employees in applications for allocation of money.
