NASA satellites recorded a fire in the area of the military airfield Savasleika in the Nizhny Novgorod region after a nighttime drone attack.

This is reported by the Russian Radio Liberty service with reference to a NASA photo.

Journalists noted that the fire near the airfield was recorded by satellites of the NASA tracking system, which track fires on the Earth's surface. Also, the fact of the explosion on the territory of the airbase is confirmed by the geolocation of one of the eyewitness videos.

«This airbase, among other things, is home to MiG-31K fighters, carrying Dagger missiles, with which Russia strikes Ukraine,» the publication added.

We will remind, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the attack of Ukrainian drones on military facilities in the Russian Federation. According to the Russian military, 117 drones and 4 tactical missiles were shot down during the night.
