On the night of April 16, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 9 attack drones of the «Shahed-131/136» type. Anti-aircraft defense of the Defense Forces destroyed all air targets.

This was announced by the commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleschuk.

It is noted that the Russian military launched these drones from Cape Chauda, which is in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

All 9 «shaheeds» managed to be destroyed by the efforts of mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces of Ukraine within the boundaries of Kherson, Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava, Cherkasy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

According to the information of the Defense Forces of the South, 4 drones were shot down in their operational zone: 2 were shot down in the Kherson region, 1 over the Mykolaiv region, and one more over the Dnipropetrovsk region.

We will remind that on the night of April 16, the Russian occupying forces attacked the Mykolaiv region with attack drones. Air defense forces and means destroyed one attack drone of the «Shahed-131/136» type.
