The police found the youths who broke the camera in the shelter at the Mykolaiv bus stop: they were issued an administrative report

The police searched for young men who had a fight in a shelter-stop, and then broke the camera that filmed them. They turned out to be residents of Kirovohrad Oblast.

They were issued an administrative report for «Minor hooliganism», the communication department of the police in the Mykolaiv region reported.

It is noted that on the evening of May 20, the police received a report on the special line 102 that unknown persons had a fight in the shelter and damaged the video equipment at the Soborna public transport stop.

The investigative team of the police department inspected the scene and removed fragments of the broken equipment. Law enforcement officers searched for the men and invited them to the police station.

Regarding the young men, the police drew up an administrative report under Article 173 of the Code of Criminal Procedure «Petty hooliganism».

In a video published by the police, the men apologized to Mykolaiv and the utility workers for their actions. They said that they had «overdone it», «acted incorrectly» and promised not to resort to such actions again.

We will remind you that the mayor spoke emotionally about the incident and called the vandals «dumb» and «stupid».

Last year, a resident of Mykolaiv, who damaged the equipment in the middle of the stop-shelter on Sobornii Street, was issued an administrative report. Then the vandal damaged not only the surveillance camera, but also the electrical installation cabinet and metal sleeve.

It was also reported that unknown persons destroyed four more plastic containers for collecting household waste in Mykolaiv. Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych called on eyewitnesses to report similar incidents to the police.
