In the afternoon of July 27, Russian military personnel fired on the town of Hlukhiv in the Sumy Oblast with anti-aircraft missiles. A child died as a result of the attack.
Another 12 people were injured, including 6 children, the Prosecutor's Office of Sumy Oblast reported.
«According to the investigation, on July 27, 2024, at around 12:40 p.m., using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the enemy hit the center of the town of Hlukhiv, Shostkinskyi district, from a rocket salvo system. As a result of shelling, 13 civilians were injured, including 7 children. After some time, the 14-year-old boy died in the hospital,» the message reads.
As a result of the Russian strike, apartment buildings and private buildings, an educational institution, a shop, and vehicles were damaged.
It will be recalled that the Russian military struck the Zaporizhzhia region 408 times. The Russian army dropped 8 aerial bombs in the region.
