On the afternoon of June 22, the Russian army carried out four strikes in one of the districts of Kharkiv. As a result of the attack, there are dead and wounded.
This was reported by the mayor of the city Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv RMA, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
According to the mayor, Kharkiv was hit four times.
«It is known about getting into the area of dense residential development. The impact hit the residential building,» Ihor Terekhov wrote in his Telegram.
The RMA clarified that Russia hit the city with guided aerial bombs (KABs). As of 5:00 p.m., 19 people were injured and three died as a result of the attack.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote in his Telegram that the demolition of the debris is still ongoing, all necessary services are working on the spot.
«My condolences to all those who have lost family and friends,» he wrote.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that as of 5:10 p.m., 29 people were injured as a result of the attack.
«From the first minutes, more than 250 rescuers and policemen worked at the sites of the hits at different addresses. Utility workers and volunteers help to clear debris and provide assistance to victims. Police investigators are carefully examining the area, recording every piece of evidence of a groundless attack on peaceful Kharkiv residents. Psychological support, legal consultation, protection of citizens' property — under the attention of the emergency services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,» wrote the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
