SBI employees are investigating the criminal proceedings regarding the circumstancesof the explosions on April 24 in Mykolaiv and the reasons that led to the tragedy.

According to the preliminary information of the State Bureau of Investigation, on Wednesday, April 24, a detonation occurred in a car park in Mykolaiv during the careless overloading of ammunition by servicemen from one car to another.

It is noted that as a result of the explosion, two soldiers were killed and two more were injured. Cars that were near the epicenter of the explosion were also involved.

During the liquidation of the fire, there was another explosion that injured five rescuers who came to the call.

Currently, the SBI has opened criminal proceedings for violations of the rules for handling weapons (Part 3 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

We will remind, in Mykolaiv on April 22, in the Namiv neighborhood , an unknown object, probably a grenade, detonated in the hands of a man. An ambulance took the injured person from the scene.
