Searches at the State Judicial Administration: suspicion of embezzlement at tenders

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting searches in the State Judicial Administration (SJA).

This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service of Ukraine.

It is noted that the investigative actions are related to the possible involvement of the employees of the information technology department of the State Security Service in the commission of crimes provided for in part 2 of article 15 and part 5 of article 191 of the Criminal Code when conducting tenders.

Part 2 of Article 15 — attempt to commit a crime that was not completed due to circumstances beyond the control of the offender. Part 5 of Article 191 — appropriation, waste of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position in particularly large amounts.

The state judicial administration, commenting on the searches, declared «zero tolerance for corruption» and promised to support the work of law enforcement agencies in every way «to establish the truth and bring the guilty to justice.»

It was also reported there that in February 2024, as a result of the disciplinary proceedings, the Director of the Department of Information Technologies of the State Security Service was reprimanded for disciplinary misconduct.

Earlier, law enforcement officers conducted searches in the administrative premises of the Uzhhorod City Council, the utility company, as well as the residences of the suspects in the case of carrying out repair works in the city with losses to the state of 700,000 hryvnias.
