In Odesa, a suspect was detained in the correction of enemy strikes on the city and damage to the property of Ukrzaliznytsia.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to law enforcement officers, the suspect monitored the locations of the Defense Forces and directed Russian missile and drone attacks on them.

«Among the enemy's priority targets were air defense positions that protect the city's airspace,» the SSU added.

Also, according to the SSU, the detainee destroyed relay cabinets of Ukrzaliznytsia. First of all, we are talking about setting fire to semaphores on important sections of the railway line.

«According to the available data, the suspect was preparing to commit new acts of sabotage at transport infrastructure facilities. As the investigation established, the detainee turned out to be a 39-year-old local resident who was part of the FSB's intelligence apparatus and for a long time was in the Russian Federation, where his father lives,» the report says.

The suspect is in custody. He faces life imprisonment. Based on the collected evidence, the investigators notified the man of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

  • Part 2 of Article 111 (treason committed under martial law);
  • Part 2 of Article 113 (sabotage committed under martial law);
  • Part 1 of Article 263 (illegal acquisition and storage of ammunition).

We will remind that on July 22, law enforcement officers detained a man who is suspected of preparing a series of arsons at strategic facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia in Kyiv. He faces life imprisonment.
