The American state of Wyoming recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people

In the USA, Wyoming became the 32nd state to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people committed by the Soviet authorities.

Oksana Markarova, Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, informed about this.

According to her, Wyoming declared November the month of remembrance of the Ukrainian Holodomor.

«I thank Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon for his solidarity with Ukraine. Thank you to the Ukrainian community in all states for an active campaign to honor the memory of the Holodomor victims by organizing educational events about this terrible crime of the Soviet regime against Ukrainians, committed 90 years ago,» — she wrote.

She invited those interested to join a memorial service to be held in Washington, D.C. on November 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the Holodomor Memorial at 1 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20001.

We remind that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
