The Voznesensk City Hall explained why the administration building is being renovated for ₴2 million

They are going to open a Restoration Office in Voznesensk. Under it, the premises of the executive committee building will be renovated.

This was reported in the Voznesensk City Council.

As reported, the Department of Housing and Communal Economy and Capital Construction of the Voznesensk City Council announced a tender for the repair of the premises of the Executive Committee for 1 million 947 thousand 648 hryvnias.

The city hall said that the repairs will be carried out with the co-financing of the project from the UNDP.

«Our community is one of the six communities of Ukraine that were chosen by the UN Program for Reconstruction and Peacebuilding to implement the Model of Integrated Community Reconstruction and Development. As part of this partnership, a Restoration Office will be created in the community! Such offices have already successfully operated in Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Pervomaiskyi, Kharkiv region. Next is our community, Nizhyn and Kamianske,» they said.

As part of this cooperation, the city council is obliged to provide premises of communal property and carry out repairs for the Restoration Office.

«Therefore, we have started preparing the premises for the establishment of the Office and are selecting a contractor to carry out the work. The UN Development Program has already provided equipment and techniques for the arrangement in the amount of 1 million 230 thousand hryvnias. The plans include funds for the implementation of the project of creating a compost station, installing video surveillance cameras in the city, equipping police stations and creating an adult education center,» they added.

The city council noted that the community lost 45% of its own budget revenues due to the removal of the military personal income tax, therefore they believe that the issue of local development can be solved only through cooperation with international donors and investors, in which the Restoration Office will play a key role.

We would like to remind you that in the basement of Voznesensk preschool education institution No. 1 «Hvozdychka» a shelter will be set up for children and employees. Construction works worth 379,337 thousand hryvnias were ordered.
