Today, another meeting of the Steering Committee of the partnership between Mykolaiv, Mykolaiv Region and Denmark took place with the participation of representatives of the Government of Ukraine, the Government of Denmark and the Mykolaiv Oblast. Another sign of Denmark's solidarity with Ukraine in this war and overwhelming support for the reconstruction of our region.
According to Anton Tabunshchyk, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Council, two aid packages totaling 480 million Danish kroner were considered (they included projects not only in our region).
«In particular, they provide for the purchase of special equipment and machinery for the restoration of infrastructure, the reconstruction of a number of social facilities, as well as ensuring the energy independence of the region. He drew the attention of partners to the situation in the field of education in the Mykolaiv region, namely, the start of the educational process, the need for school buses and shelters, as well as the issue of providing critical infrastructure facilities with alternative energy sources. By the way, aid packages provide for partial solutions to problematic issues in these areas. So, we will talk about the first results later,» he said.
«I am grateful to the Government and the people of Denmark for the constant support of our region in recovery and development. All these projects are what enable our people to return to their native homes and live in comfortable conditions. This assistance is very important for every resident of our region. We will win,» added Anton Tabunshchyk.
