The military contingent of the DPRK, numbering up to 12,000 servicemen, is undergoing training at five training grounds of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces. They are trained by Russian military instructors from the Airborne Forces and special forces units.

This was announced by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, Serhii Kyslytsia, at the UN Security Council meeting «Maintaining the Peace and Security of Ukraine».

According to Postpred, the contingent includes at least 500 officers, including three generals of the North Korean General Staff.

In addition, Russia plans to form at least five units of 2-3 thousand people each from this military. North Koreans will wear Russian uniforms, use Russian weapons and receive Russian documents. For camouflage, they are integrated into Russian units, in particular, into the «special Buryat battalion» of the 11th airborne assault brigade of the Russian Federation.

According to Kyslytsia, from October 23 to 28, more than two thousand soldiers were transferred to the border of Russia with Ukraine, and their number may increase to four and a half thousand. It is expected that they will join the hostilities against the Armed Forces in November.

Kyslytsia emphasized that the participation of North Korean troops in the war against Ukraine violates international law and the UN Charter, and their combat experience can be used for conflicts in the Far East.

«The active participation of North Korean troops in Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine is very bad news for the world. This is the most dangerous development in the last period of the war in terms of its global consequences,» he said.

Earlier it was reported that Putin for the first time commented on the presence of soldiers from North Korea on Russian territory for possible participation in the war against Ukraine.

We will remind you that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented his Victory Plan in the Verkhovna Rada, which consists of five points and three secret annexes and includes an invitation to NATO, strengthening of defense and containment of Russian aggression.
